Steve Kaplan, a Certified Public Accountant, is a partner of the firm and is responsible for the firm's audit practice, serving both commercial and not-for-profit entities. Also experienced in audits of government grants, Steve maintains required continuing professional education in that practice area.

Steve has been with the firm since 1979. Previously, he served on the audit staff of Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte & Touche) in Boston. He has also served as corporate controller of a textile manufacturing division of a publicly traded company.

Steve received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Northeastern University and a Master in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University. He has served as an adjunct instructor in financial and cost accounting at: Penn State, Western New England College, and, Westfield State College.

Steve currently serves on the finance committee of Sinai Temple of Springfield, is a trustee of their endowment fund and is a director of the Holyoke Rotary Club and its related charitable foundations. He is a past vice president and board member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
